AMD has confirmed that their RX 9070 series should be competitive against the RTX 4070/4080 series, and they should also be competitive against the RTX 50 series without going into details.
The official figure that everyone was waiting for is:
RX9070XT-VS-7900GRE-4K.jpg

This percentage shows both raster and ray tracing games, so you will see higher gains if RT games are included and sometimes lower in raster-only games. But officially, the RX 9070 XT is much faster than the RX 7900 GRE, to the point where one might wonder why this card is even used for comparison.

@PunkX 75 AFAIK the stocks are going to be pretty good and retailers already had the stock with them because AMD decided to postpone the release to March from the CES announcement in january. The only thing which AMD can do to sabotage themselves is pricing which I am afraid they will do going by their past.

$699 for 9070 XT and $499 for 9070 if they follow their usual Nvidia counterpart minus $50 pricing. Although AMD has a habit of hitting themselves in the foot and can even price them on par with nvidia seeing how bad the reception of rtx 50 series has been.
Any leaks or assumption on the pricing?

That means for the price I bought 7800xt, people now can buy 9070 which is not just faster than the 7800xt but faster than 7900gre too, that too 22% faster. If this happens, then pricing would be insane. But amd has a bad record of ruining things up at the end
