When I boot up my sys, I get an error message which says "Pri Slave Hard Disk S.M.A.R.T. Command Failed". What could be the reason n' remedy for this ???

I have 2 hard disks - one as primary master n' other as primary slave, the latter one being only 5 months old:(

make of the drive and error no, usually it is can be a serious thing, imminent hard drive failure to be expected, back up your data :(

more details on the drive would be of help. go for replacement.

In some very rare cases the S.M.A.R.T. implementation on your computer may have issues of its own and may need to be patched before replacing the hard drive.

remove the other hard disk which is working and then boot the pc see if you get the smart error or not.
