Hiii.

I am using the ASUS P5QL-EM motherboard with Core 2 Duo 3.0 Ghz Windows 7

..

The motherboard manual says that it

"Support S/PDIF out interface "

I wanted it to connect it to my Home Theatre (wanted to use A digital Putput instead of the 8 channel speaker outs from the back of the PC..(i.e Realtek ALC1200 8 -Channel High-Definition Audio CODEC )

According to the manual/and specs at ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - Motherboards - ASUS P5QL-EM

it supports S/PDIF out interface . And I know that S/PDIF is a digital output.. thru (COAXIAL or TOSLINK OPTICAL output)

Which would be better for the music transmission.

How can I setup that.

I dont see any digital output at the back of the CPU..

PLease help if I have to add any hardware to use the S/PDIF feature..

Thanks

Search in the guides section. I've written an article. You do have to add a connector, which is not available pretty much anywhere I know of.

Thanks... I guess a connector board is not available for a cheap rate... the only one available is for Rs 1200+.. I guess I can get a new Soundcard with Digital out in tat price...
