Today's conference call also brought news that one of the 
most-delayed PC games on THQ's roster, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of 
Chernobyl, won't be arriving until the second half of THQ's 2007 
fiscal year--October 2006 at the earliest

late 2006? the game will look old by then :S :lame:

well u can't say that 4 sure........after all even HL2 was delayed 4 sometime but it turned out to be rockin game!!!!!!!!!
 
i dont understand the reason. Its not that devlopers are not ready with the game. I played the game long time ago when it leaked in its beta stage. The game that much ready must be completed like a year ago. Its the publishers thats causing delay here i guess.
 
Well, they claim to be interested in gameplay... in which case I am willing to wait any amount of time.

And, when a game is delayed, theyupgrade the gfx capabilities meanwhile anywayz...
