S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl Finally Gold

Gamespot is reporting that long-delayed S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, developed by GSC Gameworld and published by THQ, has finally gone gold. The announcement was made by THQ's Executive Vice President, Kelly Flock, at THQ's Gamer's Day Event in San Francisco. After six years of development, the title is to be released on the 22nd of March, 2007.

Thats great news but here is some bad news to balance it. Initial impressions from people that are playing it are that its got a lot of bugs. Not as buggy as Boiling Point but still. I really hope that that is sorted out in the final code.

I really want this game to work. If it delivers even half of its promises it could be the new Deus Ex.

game should be fun to play although what really makes it sad that they have used cs1.6 sounds in the game. for the guy running, for guns, switching guns, reloading etc. found it really funny. heh
