I got s24 ultra 256 Gb from Kuwait model:SM-S928B/DS still not started using it ,I have seen some YouTube videos and know that s24 ultra bought from those countries does not work in India for Samsung pay and call recording is there any tweak to run Samsung pay and call recording I mean can I convert or update to indian version this too I saw this in some forums is it possible?

where you found this 10k or screen insurance ,why you went to check IMEI with them ?
10k insurance offer was on when S23U was launched . Give the IMEI to any Samsung service centre after activation they will check the available offers based on IMEI . Whenever one gives internet to any out of box device it sends the basic data to Samsung server and the device gets registered in that regioan and samsung features specific to that region are shown . So when you give IMEI to any samsung service centre they are able to check available offers on that IMEI . They will even tell you exact date when device was activated

how cheap can it be? Will it cost me 20k? 30k? I don't think so.

the cheapest rates I found were in the ballpark of 70k-ish? now I dunno about you, but if I'm gonna sink 70k on a phone, it damn well better come with a warranty specially since for that money you could have bought a s23U in Diwali sale
Current price of s24 ultra in India is Rs 95000 which is 25k more as compared to to Dubai pricing. So it’s totally up to you to decide . Also demerit would be no emi option .

Samsung S Series , same hardware sold in India . If you get a brand new set , never switched on , then insert Indian SIM and activate . It will be setup as an Indian device with all offers running as on date running in India applicable on it . Checked this on my S23U bought from outside India . When I activated offer was on , 10k device or screen insurance like something offer on - to be activated in first 7 days of purchase
First 7 days means the day device switched on .
They checked my IMEI and i was fiully accepted in their system . No bill was asked . They checked all this from the IMEI inside the device
Are you talkng about international phone if yes then that's not true!

Can you share the detials with us, Where was the handset bought which company provided the insurance?

SAMSUNG INDIA does not covers phones bought overseas. Also it's quite possible the phone you bought overeaes was sold by some Indian dealer to a overseas dealer.

If claims about international device getting Indian Warranty are true, it would redefine the Smartphone Industry in India. People would go to extremes just to buy phones from any international location where it's cheaper, and approach Samsung India for Official Warranty and offers.
Anyways, let's see what was @kuduku's experience.

I never took the insurance as I was out of 7 days , was not aware of the offer . It was an Australian purchase - S23U . My brother carried it from Australia after i purchased from jb hi-fi myself . Their was no dealer involved . I had deliberately told him not to give internet to device in Australia
I had gone for repair to my Note10P . Got chatting with the billing rep . When he saw the new S23U he adviced to take this insurance offer . Took the device from my hand, checked IMEI then informed 7 days have passed so cant avail it
The device is on latest security update , Have formatted 3/4 times since then . No issue faced
When did i say about warranty ? For warranty claim Samsung require invoice ....

Samsung does not ask for invoice for warranty, If incase they ask and u don't have the invoice they cannot force you to provide it coz the warranty can be claimed with the serial/imei no.

Also if there is no warranty on International handset they will not cover it under insurance, What ever information Samsung Service centre guy gave you was wrong.

There is a reason why they don't offer warranty/insurnace coz most of the international devices are differnt and are region depended there parts are different for different countries and getting into hassle of arranging parts they simply avoid offering warranty.

How long is the duration of the insurance cover?

I was expecting it would be cheaper than the diwali offer. But since it isn't then buying local makes more sense.

You just needed to jump at the right time.

Gulf isn't the cheapest for that only the US will be cheaper. Quite obvious just comparing the cost of duty free items.

still, just how cheaper can it be? not in the ballpark of 20-30k right? at this point, you are just playing the silicon/display lottery

Ah well I don't have that experience with my last three phones and they got dropped many times in the house on tiled floors. The cases protected every time. I had to replace two cases on the V20 because they had cracked with use

Outdoors i haven't dropped the phone much.
