West Bengal : The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights has demanded an explanation and sought a report over the Class 5 girl made to drink urine in West Bengal. The shocking incident of corporal punishment came from the university founded by Rabindranath Tagore, Visva-Bharati's Patha Bhavan. The class 5 student was allegedly forced to drink her own urine because she wet her bed.

On top of that the warden got the parents arrested for entering the girls hostel without permission.

Creating a class divide

The Oxford English School in Laggere in Bangalore branded students from the economically weaker sections because they were admitted under the 25 per cent quota under the Right to Education Act. The parents of four students at the unaided school in Bangalore have alleged that their children were branded by cutting of tufts of their hair, just because they had been admitted under the Right To Education quota.

This was done to reportedly distinguish the 1st standard students from other students. The parents also allege the kids were made to stand separately during the morning assembly and were made to sit at the back in class.

Sharing my own school tale.Agreed not as filthy as it is here.

But in our school days boys who used to be mischievous either stones were put in their mouth so they cant talk in class or else in 2nd standard school pants were removed or shirts remove and student were made to roam in under garments in school timings.

Sorry brother just because of single teacher misdeed i cant bad mouth about my school because i have all my glorious past are from school days.I just recall this incident after hearing this gross incident.

Point was these stuffs are quite common in schools.Its nothing like getting shocked after hearing it.One should keep a watch on what happens in school and ask his ward how was the day and any particular incident which happened.

But its a mumbai incident of chembur where more than 70+schools co-exists.And every school has a tale about it.
 
in this age of mobile cameras its the fault of the students to let them get away with it. sirji is dissapoint.
 
I bedwet until I was 12 or so. Happens with some people, the neural development (the trigger to the brain you're leaking when in deep sleep) just doesn't take place as intended. There are solutions like bedwetting alarms and larger sized pampers. Hope the child right groups get to deliver some justice here on that warden's ass.
 
The responsibility to nurture the roots is given in the hands of fking lunatics who themselves need to learn basic lessons of life.

During the 6th grade, there was this maths tuition sir who used to cane us pretty badly on the hands and sometimes on the legs, because we did not do the homework or answered a question incorrectly. It used to go on until one day he caned a guy very badly that it left so many marks and scars on his hand and he wept so badly (damn that sight was really painful for the rest, more than just being embarrassing). The next day the parents arrived with the cops at the tuition center, dispersed the students and took care of the rest. His tuition center was history.

Such types of punishments should be banned in the schools and elsewhere. Not exactly a human way of dealing with things.
 
These are all Sadists and Pedophyles we are talking about, we had co-ed and had a Physics sir who used to pinch girls under their breasts and boys under their test*cles and no one used to complain, We all have our share of these experiences, I think nothing can be done to stop these abusive incidents in India

Even my school had some witches(not turely,but for a certain moment) who have practiced some cruel punishments.
One of our teacher had to go to the police station for a whacking a 7th std. kid badly
Maybe because she was going through a bad time in her family life and she was pouring out her frustration on the poor kids.
We used to get whacked with wooden scales on the finger knuckles,but yeah those were for the extreme head ache guys.
Frog jumps with the heavy school bags on the back for late comers was common and i had a good record of practicing it 2-3 times a week.The pain in the muscles after the punishment used to be the worst in my experience.
Can't help it.Not every other teacher could be a saint who will tolerate every student in 100-200 odd group of students.
I think many teachers don't realize that the students they teach are just kids not criminals.

- Cane on the back of your knees for playing a few minutes after the break.
- Getting smacked on knees with wickets.
- Getting whipped with belts/chain on our asses.

The best punishment i ever got - I got slapped in front of the entire class by my Bio teacher coz i shouted that he was G A Y and instead of crying after a series of slaps, i laughed so hard that the Bio guy had to leave the class. He couldn't bear the embarrassment anymore.

After 7 years i came to know that he really was gay xD
