Storage Solutions saegate warranty

i bought a seagate free agent from bankok.....from seagate store.....
he told it has 2 years of international warranty....
when i entered my serial no in seagate site it showed my warranty status...it had 2 years of warranty...but i went to seagate service centre.....
they told there r less chances of getting replaced bcoz it is manufactured outside india ....
so wat shud i do???? if returns my hard disk without replacing????

i dont think any HDD is manufactured in india..
maybe he meant 'retailed in india'

don't count on what they(accelfrontline) think.
if manufacturer advertises International warranty then you should claim it if/when necessary.

May i know the model and the price. Since you say you bought it from bangkok it must me very cheap if m not wrong.
