CPU/Mobo Safest method to flash the BIOS

I want to upgrade my BIOS

My motherboard is ASUS M2N-E
I am using Win XP 32 Bit

Whats the safest & tested way to flash the same to the latest version

Format a pen drive using fat16/fat32

But the bios rom on it.
Use ezflash from your bios menu (m2n-e has it, I am fairly certain about it)

I have flashed the BIOS successfully & My computer is working normally

Should i still clear the CMOS data by removing the battery or I can skip the step ?

nope..not required. I've got an m2n-e, and I've never cleard the bios after flashing, and I've had no problems so far.
