Hello,

I'm pretty new to the forum, so wanted to ask something about conducting trades with the 'Buy Sell Trade' section.
Is it normal that people will PM me regarding the the items I have put up for sale, then move to negotiation, zero in on a price and then just stop responding ?
Or even show interest and then when you respond they wont reply back. Is this normal? In my personal opinion is not very good, but still I cannot find any rule or mandate regarding this, hence asking this.

I always thought time passing and pointless bargaining was a function of OLX where any random people would send a message and randomly bargain without actually having intention of buying.
IMO I always appreciate when people say clearly, that they are not interested on a product. It is perfectly fine that someone's mind has changed about buying or probably the quoted price is not agreeable.
But the wish should be communicated I think.

At least when I have bought something, have been very prompt to respond to the seller's query and also notify them once I got the items and also put in feedback asap.

P.S. Techenclave's feature which shows the last activity of an user is really awesome, it fairly gives an idea if the person may have seen the PMs or not. So, the possibility of people not responding because they were offline is not on table.

Yes its normal. Pulling the trigger and buying means paying money to someone else so lot of factors come in when you actually have to do it.
There is no rule for this cause they are not doing anything illegal.
Take market related conversations with a pinch of salt. Olx's are heavy types, here is lighter than that

I have seen this a lot too. And while it's not illegal it's just simply a matter of decency to let the buyer or seller know that you are no longer interested in the deal, regardless of the reason.
