Samsung A7 lite owner need GPS related help

Hi All,
any samsung A7 lite owner can confirm if GPS on this tablet works without wifi(internet) too.

I mean download offline map and then use the gps.

So answering my own question and incase it interests anyone .

Just got my hands on A7 lite.

Works fine with gps offline. No need of internet. Just download maps on Google maps or Gaia etc and follow offline.

All mobiles, tables released in last 15 years can use GPS without Internet.

If there's internet then it helps to assist GPS (AGPS) to pinpoint location faster. Without internet, GPS has to do more calculations, so it's slow and battery intensive. AGPS wasn't present for first few years of smart phones. GPS then always had to work without the internet.

Not true .
When I was searching for answer to my question on Google came across forum where people discussed navigation on tablets and found even some ipads needed wifi+cellular for locating you without them it would not work offline.
