Samsung Announces Galaxy Young & Galaxy Fame Entry Level Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Smartphones

Samsung has unveiled two new entry level smartphones called Galaxy Fame and Galaxy Young running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS.

The Galaxy Young is not Galaxy Y but a new smartphone with slightly better specs. It has 3.27 inch LCD with 480x320 HVGA resolution. It is powered by 1GHz processor and has 768MB RAM and 4GB storage expandable via microSD card slot.



It has 3MP rear camera but no front camera. Connectivity side has 3G, Wi-Fi , Bluetooth 3.0, and USB. It has 1300mAh battery. The Galaxy Young will run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of box. It will also be available in dual-SIM version.

The Galaxy Fame comes with bigger 3.5 inch HVGA TFT. It also has 1GHz processor but carries only 512MB RAM for some reason along with 4GB storage expandable via microSD card slot.



The Galaxy Fame has 5MP rear camera with Autofocus and LED flash and VGA front camera for video chat. Connectivity options include Bluetooth v4.0, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and NFC(optional). It also has 1300 mAh battery.

There is no word yet on the price or availability of these smartphones.
