Samsung expecting to sell 10 million units of Galaxy S III by July

Samsung's head of communication, JK Shin has announced that they're expecting that the sales of the Galaxy S3 will touch the 10 million milestone by the end of next month in July.

Previous reports had indicated that the Samsung Galaxy S3 had over 9 million preorders before the official launch.

It is unclear as of right now whether the Head of Communication meant units sold or shipped all over the world, but either way the number is quite staggering. The phone has been made available to the public for just under a month now, with many countries unable to fulfill their customer's orders due to over demand of the phone.

Hmm what difference does it make whether it is units shipped or units sold.... Samsung is not going to ship those phones without getting money for it, and retailers/distributors/service providers won't be getting massive amounts of stock unless they are confident that they are going to sell. So I think it can be safely assumed that shipped == sold as long as Samsung got its money,.

Highly doubtful. Don't expect any major price drops when it has been selling so well at this price point, and it just got released. Price drops happen when product does not sell well or is near the end of their lifecycle.

I got the S2 in its 2nd week of launch for 30k last year, the retail price has gone down by 15% IINM.

Can the prices come down till the month of August/September?
Don't expect a price drop unless the company launches a successor for the phone. And it won't happen soon,i guess not in 6-10 months.
Galaxy S' price went down only when S2 was launched.
And S2's price dropped a few k's only when Note came
