My Sammy Focus has started acting weird. It keeps beeping(the beep that the phone gives when one puts it on charge). The phone battery drains drastically to a complete low within an hour or so. Then the phone keeps showing the pop-up 'Battery critically low' every 2 seconds. It is just do goddamned irritating.

A few weeks ago, I had bought a Samsung Galaxy I9003 battery(after reading this http://www.techenclave.com/mobile-phones/where-can-i-buy-battery-138850/ ) and have been using this. Is that the culprit? Even switching to the battery that the phone came with doesn't help.

When the batter is charged let's say halfway, if I remove it from the charger, it starts beeping again. Right now it's in vibrate mode :(

Help!!!

USB port looks fine. The metal pin in the center doesn't seem to be bent or anything like that. I shall try to clean it. I read that blowing compressed air also helps. Is the hot air coming out of a hair dryer compressed air?:ashamed:

ok.. there's constant change in the weather. Is it because of the accumulation of moisture or something?

Use white petrol or any other equivalent liquid use toothpick to clean the dirt in side the port......conneect ur phone tobur PC/LAP and see if they recognize it ?

The phone charges fine and connection to the PC is also quite fine. But what do you think the reason behind this odd behaviour is?

I am sure it is related to the USB port some of the pins inside are shorting and that's the reason u hear the battery charging sound, I am sure the battery charging sign must be showing that the battery is charging.

Used blow dryer amd used tooth brush to clean the charging port(however I could clean that tiny port). The phone is more than halway charged but when I remove the charging cable, I get the beeping sound again.

Had the same issue on my Focus also, After reading some online views, narrowed down the culprit to the phone charging point, Essentially there should be some gap between the point (where you plugin the charger) and the metal plates surrounding them, I noticed the point was touching the metal plates and adjusted it using a thin screw driver,

The problem has disappeared and i have not had any issue so far, Also be a little careful while plugging in the charger from now on as the charging point is sensitive

Hope this helps
