Samsung Galaxy Camera targetting a mid November India launch

After launching the Samsung Galaxy Note II a few hours back in India, Samsung have also announced that the Samsung Galaxy Camera would launch in India by Diwali, which this year will be in the middle of November. Samsung had announced this new device back in August at IFA Berlin. The Samsung Galaxy Camera has a 16 Mega Pixel camera sensor with F2.8 aperture, 23 mm focal length and 21x Optical Zoom Lens with BSI CMOS sensor.

The screen in use is a 4.77 inch HD Super Clear Touch Display at a ppi of 308 PPI (Pixels Per Inch) running at a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The Camera has Smart Pro feature with 10 modes, namely Macro, Rich Tone, Action Freeze, Waterfall Trace, Light Trace, Beautiful Sunset, Blue Sky, Natural Green, Silhouette and Vivid Fireworks. The device has 8 GB of internal memory, which is expandable upto 32 GB via an external MicroSD card. The Google Play store is also there, so most apps and games should run fairly well on this Android 4.1 JellyBean. The device is being powered by a 1,650 mAh battery.

There is no calling feature like many of the newer Samsung Galaxy Tabs, but there is a variety of other conenctivity features such as 3G (HSPA+ 21Mbps), HDMI 1.4, WiFi a/b/g/n, WiFi HT40, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS/GLONASS.
