Samsung Galaxy Chat Now Available In India For Rs 8,499

Samsung Galaxy chat smartphone which was announced in July is now available in India for Rs 8,499 .

The Galaxy chat has 3 inch touchscreen with 240x320 resolution and a full QWERTY keyboard below the display . It runs Android 4.0 ICS .

Full specs include -

• Android v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS
• 850 MHz Processor
• 4GB Storage expandable via microSD card
• 512MB RAM
• 2 MP Primary Camera
• 3-inch TFT Capacitive Touchscreen
• 3G , Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 , A-GPS , FM Radio
• 1200mAH battery

Samsung has once again shat on design of this-thus limiting the audience- min requirement for a 8k fone should be
1. Cam with LED flash ( also useful to us Indians coz u need flash all the time- this is a dark country.)
2. Auto Focus on the Cam even if it is 2 MP
3. Min 1500 mAH batt.

^^ My ~19000/- INR Xperia Go does not tote around a ~1500 mAH battery, this will do fine with its 1200 mAH design, maybe outlast larger touchscreen phones with similar battery capacity.

Are you serious? The original Droid/Milestone, Droid 2, Droid 3, Desire Z, Xperia Mini Pro, Xperia Pro Galaxy 551, Galaxy Pro, Optimus Pro, etc. etc. were not Android phones?
