Samsung Galaxy Folder : Clamshell With Android Coming Soon?

Clamshell or flip phones are almost extinct now, but Samsung is looking to revive the form factor with its upcoming clamshell phone Galaxy Folder with model number SHV-E400K.

According to rumor, the upcoming phone will run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS and will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. It will gave touchscreen display with 800x480 resolution and a physical alphanumeric keypad. Other details of the device are not yet known.

We managed to find the device with model number SHV-E400K in GLBenchmark scores and the specs are in line with the rumor. It shows 800 x480 resolution display size and Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 chipset with dual-core 1.7GHz processor and Adreno 305 GPU running Android 4.2.2 OS.



The device is rumored to be planned for Korean market initially and may launched in other markets also. So any takers here who are nostalgic for flip phones ?

Yes. This will be on my purchase list. I used to love the Razr ones.

looks like a 3.5 inch screen. This would have been good a couple of years ago. Now with everything moving to 5 inch, its going to feel cramped.

I do like the clam shell form factor, reminded me of my razr.
