Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos I9082 has started getting Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Update in Russia and soon it is expected to be rolled out in other regions globally.



The update’s build number is I9105PXXUBMG8 dated 29/07/2013. It brings several improvements like new lockscreen widgets, daydream screensaver, improved task switching and more.

The update should be available in India soon, if you cant wait then the firmware can be flashed manually by heading to the source site and downloading the ROM.

I hope it brings better performance as the phone was laggy as hell and even a simple game like Temple Run 2 was very laggy. Given the decent specs and low screen resolution it must be the software that is causing this.
