Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom With 16MP, 10x Optical Zoom Camera Appears In Live Pictures

We heard about the Zoom version of Galaxy S4 back in may when it was submitted to the Bluetooth SIG group with the model number SM-C101.

The Galaxy S4 Zoom is the hybrid of Galaxy Camera and the Galaxy S4 with an alleged 16MP camera with 10x optical zoom. Few images of the device have been leaked which confirm that the device is indeed in works.

SamMobile posted the first press image of Galaxy S4 Zoom and later TechTastic posted few imags showing the front and side view of the phone with the shutter key.

The S4 Zoom appears to be much thicker than a regular phone, so it will be more like a camera with phone calling enabled.

The device has a 4.3 inch qHD AMOLED display and a 1.6GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS. Connectivity features include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS with 8GB of onboard strorage expandable via microSD card slot.

The Galaxy S4 Zoom is expected to be unveiled at a press event on 20th June in London.

If they are planning a brand extension, it seems that they should just have gone with the galaxy tag and not used the "s" tag.

Guys, this is just like last year's galaxy camera(not that that was a good idea). People who bought it complained, it would have been nice to have phone calling also in the 3G version, so they added it this year. They are not trying to make a phone with a huge camera, only a camera with phone abilities just in case
