Samsung I9260 To Be Called Galaxy Premier , Specs Leaked

Previously , Samsung was rumored to be making the next Galaxy Nexus device which was being called by the codename "Superior" GT-I9260 " . Now rumors indicate that samsung will launch the device with Galaxy Premier name and it will be positioned between the Galaxy S III and Galaxy S III Mini, in terms of specs and price.

The Galaxy Premier will have 4.65 inches 720p SUPER AMOLED display . The processor will be 1.5GHz dual-core . It will have 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 2MP front camera , 8 or 16 GB of built-in storage expandable via microSD slot, 14.4 Mbps HSDPA, 5.76 Mbps HSUPA, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, GPS, and DLNA. It will run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.


The Galaxy Premier is expected to hit markets by the end of the year and priced around 480 Euro , which translates to roughly Rs 32k .

I still think it will be better to just get the Galaxy S2. I recently got my friend a Galaxy S2 from Planet M @ 24.5k :) Gorgeous phone it is :D

What do you guys think ? Do you think it will be worth spending an additional 8k on this ?
 
Samsung is diluting the Galaxy brand, soon it will be nothing more than just a name. They have cheap, mid-range and high-end all subbed into one brand. All it will do is confuse the customers,
 
pop,ace,duos,s2,s3,mini s3,between s3 and mini,note,note 2....this is surely a galaxy of models obfuscating the consumers :P. What is common in all of them? Plastic :D :D.
 
what "diluting"?they are diversifying and "galaxy" for them means their android phone lineup so they will launch their phones under this banner...,anyway S2 will have to be replaced soon,so their new strategy makes sense.
 
This is supposed to be a minor 'upgrade' for the Galaxy Nexus (sans Vanilla Android), looking at its specifications.

I think Galaxy Nexus is better @ 21k street price. Its way better then S2

I know. I was getting a gorgeous Galaxy Nexus white color imported from UK (brand new) without warranty for 21k but given the screen issues that EVERY Nexus has due to its Pentile display, we didn't go for it. Check out this thread and you'll know...

Since it was without warranty, we didn't go for it. Even if you check the screen on the spot before buying, there is a very high chance the screen will develop serious issues over the period of 3 to 6 months (as confirmed by many users in that thread).

Believe it or not, Galaxy Nexus has been awarded the title of "Worst HD SAMOLED panel" :P

These are the exact reasons why we didn't go for Nexus and put 3k more and got the Galaxy S2 with official 1-year Samsung India warranty :D My friend has never been happier :)
