Samsung has launched Galaxy Golden smartphone in India which is similar to the Galaxy Folder launched in Korea few months back. The smartphone features dual touchscreen displays and T9 keypad. The Galaxy Golden brings the classic clamshell or flip form factor back with Android OS.

The Galaxy Golden has 3.7 inch WVGA resolution display on front and back. It is powered by 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor with 1.5GB of RAM , 16GB internal storage expandable via microSD card slot. The smartphone runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.

There is 8MP rear camera and 1.9MP front facing camera. It has 1820mAh battery.

Those who think Galaxy Golden should be cheap will be very disappointed, because Samsung has made it the most expensive smartphone in India till date by pricing it at Rs 51,900.

So any takers for the Golden Flip ?

Why is samsung going after "Golden" type phones ? Looks like they are again following the lead of a well known "fruit" company.

Samsung, keep on getting "inspired"
Anyhow, this phone isnt worth the 51.9k.

This is what happens when one reaches the peak.Trying to do work with all sorts of nonsense as Nokia did with Veritu.Samsung needs to focus more on existing form factors first.
