samsung official 2000mah battery for SGS2

As I couldn't wait I went ahead and ordered in Clove on Nov 28. Got it today. Total landing price to me 2506INR

I have just started charging. The included cover fits perfect. You no longer have the slimmer portion at the back side. Its of uniform increased thickness. I no longer could use casemate barely there case which is a -ve.
 
sorry guys i also went ahead and ordered one today!!
the thing was the margin in a GO was just 150rs after deducting local delivery.
i wud have taken the responsibility of ordering and couriering but the profit was negligible for each members
anyways waiting to receive my piece
MY bank account states that i was charged 2480.07rs

so anyone can go ahead and order one now
 
In how many days did you got the delivery and was it through normal mail service or express courier like DHL etc...

also please share your feed back of the performance...
 
normal airmail delivery
but everyone told me it wud take maximum 6-10days

performance wud be good afaik

i placed the order at around 7pm and i recieved a mail at 10pm that my order has been dispatched!!!!!

though i highly doubt this as they havent given any tracking no but still such a mail was heartening to recieve in the times of letsbuy, ebay.in etc

Ordered on 28th Nov morning India time. Got it today afternoon. so ~4 days. Shipping was through normal mail service.

I haven't yet used it properly to talk about performance.

I got really exited about this a week back when first I saw the 2050mah battery on XDA.

Spent some time reading up on it and looking for sellers, but then decided to wait for a couple of days..

Thankfully within the past week I tried the SiyahKernel, and I already had the hyperdroid's androidmeda ROM.

From the 2nd cycle only, the battery performance has been fan-f*cking-tastic!

I think it's been 4 or 5 battery cycles now since I've flashed the kernel and its been 38hours now and still 15% bettery is left.

Usage : with Wifi/3G always on..

Display: 2h 42m

Voice Calls: 32m

Angry Birds: 15m

I know the usage is light, but on the days I use the phone a lot, it lasts over 24 hours with ~10-15% battery still left.

So I'd say flash to a good rom + kernel (preferably androidmeda + siyahkernel) and see if it works for you before spending 2k+ on the battery.
 
^^how can spending 500bucks for a screenguard or a plastic or 1500 on a ultra slim case can be a good buy?? when all these do not increase productivity of ur cell.

but a good battery definitely will improve usability and reliability!!

anyways just using siyah has no effect unless u tweak it with UV OR UC which i dont like
i always end up hanging my phone.

the effect u are talking about are usually minimal and more psychological.
happened to me on dlevrom 2.0 with siyah 1.7.8
i was very excited at that time but soon found out i was actually decreasing my use(mainly 3G)
3G is the main culprit i found

No need to get all defensive, I never said anything about it not being a good buy or about it's usability or reliability.

And I'm not going to argue with you on measuring performance either..

All I'm trying to convey to the readers is, try out a few well optimized roms and/or kernels like the siyah v2.3 before spending 2.4k, to see if it helps, if not then sure, buy whatever work for you.
 
Ayaskant is absolutely right, Siyah is only good if you can undervolt the phone properly.

Android 2.3.5 Samsung stock is as stable and optimized like hyperdroid or revolution.

If you dont like the bloat, titanium is always there even on rooted stock rom.

BTW, the battery life you are getting is not really great.

Your screen time is not even 3hrs and you are down to 15%?

That is pretty sad actually.

i was actually stunned by ur statement calling for think before buying a 2k battery!!

i never ever saw that kind of "show restraint" comment in a thread for a case or pouch

may be you are slightly elated with ur rom kernel combo

hope it works out that well for long.....
