It seems Samsung is the only company in the Indian air-conditioner market which offers air-conditioners that can operate from 135-290V. Just out of curiosity, I would like to know-
1. Is some sort of voltage stabilizer built-in or it all boils down to the unique compressor design?
2. Which brand compressor does Samsung use in its A/c's? Seems the brand that Samsung uses is not used by atleast LG, Voltas, Panasonic, Onida. I was randomly checking the cooling capacity in watts of A/c's and found Samsung to fare the best, generally. Samsung's certain 1 ton models offer cooling capacity to the tune of 3900+W and the 1.5 tonne models cooling capacity hover around the 5200W+ mark. The competition (not all brands/ models considered) offers 1 tonne models with cooling capacity as low as 3200W and 1.5 tonne models with cooling capacity around 4690W.
Reliable answers will help me in killing my curiosity.
