Samsung to unveil the Google Nexus S on 8 November

There is something cooking over at the Samsung camp and we're about to see what in just two weeks, on 8 November. Rumor has it, this might actually be the next-gen Google Nexus, the Nexus S (Nexus Two).

There's nothing certain yet, but Samsung has a press event scheduled for the 8 November where a new Android smartphone will be presented.

There's already a brew of rumors that Google will present their next Nexus smartphone before the end of the year. Adding two and two together, it's only natural to assume that the new Nexus phone is what Samsung will present.

In fact, rumors go as far as saying that the new Google phone will be a restyled Samsung Galaxy S - hence the name, Nexus S.

Gizmodo reportedly has an unidentified source that confrms all these rumors and add that the handset has a front-facing secondary camera and a curved back. Other than that it's the Galaxy S alright.

The Nexus S should be running the latest and greatest of Android OS and we're guessing it's the yet to be unveiled Android 2.3 a.k.a. Gingerbread.

The Google Nexus S should show up on 8 November and start selling in time for the holidays but there is still no word on its price.

The Rumor

The Samsung “Nexus Two” phone will feature:

* Stock Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)

* 1.2 GHz processor (don’t know which model)

* 4 inch AMOLED display (don’t know resolution)

* 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and HD video capture (don’t know about flash), front-facing camera (don’t know resolution)

* 512 MB RAM, 16 GB internal storage

* Support for multiple carriers (radios are unknown)

* All the usuals like WiFi, Bluetooth, 3.5 mm headset jack, etc.

* Outer casing is a mix of metal and plastic materials

Wasnt it decided by Google that they were done with the h/w already ??

I am not complaining but the news kinda contradicts previous news.

Specswise it is pretty similar to Galaxy S except for the processor which is 1.2 GHz on this "unannounced" phone and 1.0 on Galaxy S (it has been overclocked to 1.6 GHz successfully though )

One thing more gingerbread is coming out on 11th november and this phone on 8th.Hence we should take it as rumour.Because of the os is releasing on 11th than the phone too should come on same date not on 8th.

Hainnnnnnnnn Without showing the phone on and its interface how logical would it be to launch.
And if its shown on that people will do get an idea about the interface.

Not looks logical and any sort of event will cut excitement of other event.
