Samsung Wave II vs Motorola Defy, what's your choice?

I'm thinking about getting a new phone and narrowed the choice to Wave 2 and Defy. Mainly need a big display and the OS in not an issue.
Both phones are almost 18k and specs are very close.
Or are there any other 3.7 inch displays worth considering?

BADA is not as bada(big) on features/customization/apps. So better go Android.
so what's on the android???

dont tell me 100,000 apps shit, half of them are just duplicates of each other, half of the games wont work since they require 30k phones and their graphics processors ...

If video playback is the major criteria, you can safely buy wave 2.It supports almost all common video formats OOTB.For defy you have rockplayer,qq player etc.but they may not be able to handle everything you throw at them.

BUT a major concern with wave 2 is the "camera failed"thing,I have seen 3 cases already.Google it,if you do not know already. The fix is not that difficult, but it is not 100% guaranteed.
Am using Wave the original one, but I never heard about 'Camera failed' Issue till now and to tell the truth, Samsung Wave S8500 is the best I came across till to date :) Still waiting for Bada 2.0 Update :p

Samsung sucks at giving updates to their mobile. The whole world knew it, other than that there is no problem....

if you do not intend to change roms, mod system files etc then you should be fine with BADA.

The phone is total vfm, a galaxy S built better and smaller i would say.

OR

Galaxy SL i9003 for 19-20k would be an android alternative in your list.

SLCD will be standard now, not as vibrant as AMOLED but nothing that should upset an individual.

Thanks for all your replies, some points made sense.
I'm not considering the C7 on screen size but the Galaxy SL i9003 mentioned by madnav is now on my list.
My only usage is phone, big screen and to run one app which works on java or android.

I was thinking of replacing my HTC Legend with Moto Defy first. But the ear piece problem(though its rectified now) and lack of proper updates and some warning from my mates about Moto made me drop the idea. Now waiting for HTC Incredible S to hit Indian shores. I'd say hold your pennies for some more time and wait for the newer phones announced in MWC 2011.

Android has a wider user base and obviously better app support.

It is better t o go in for the Defy or the Galaxy SL instead of the bada based Wave II.

If you ask me to choose one, I'll go for the Galaxy SL.

Motorola Defy has many minus points man.The viewing angles are terrible(only around 30 degrees).Motoblur is a pain in the neck.Check out this review of the smartphone by Motorola http://www.engadget.com/2010/11/18/motorola-defy-review/
