Hey everyone,
My friend wants to buy a new PC to replace his really old one. I have made him wait for the SB corrected mobos to be available. Just received confirmation that they are available in stores in Bangalore.
Please help me in deciding a good gaming build for him.
Details :
1. What is your budget? - 45-50k
2. What is your existing hardware configuration - none! (will sell the age old pc)
3. Which hardware will you be keeping - none!
4. Which hardware component are you looking to buy (component name). If you have already decided on a configuration then please mention the (component brand and model) as well, this will help us in fine tuning your requirement.
Want to buy a whole new PC, based on Sandy Bridge cpus.
5. Is this going to be your final configuration or you would be adding/upgrading a component in near future. If yes then please mention when and which component
Final build, should last me atleast a couple of years.
6. Where will you buy this hardware? (Online/City/TE Dealer)
Bangalore - SP Road
7. Would you consider buying a second hand hardware from the TE market - No
8. What is your intended use for this PC/hardware
Gaming (Main purpose)
Browsing
Watching HD movies
9. Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them and the reason for your preference/dislike.
No bias towards brands, always buy the best bang for buck stuff!
10. If you will be playing games then which type of games will you be playing?
FPS, Sports-mostly FIFA, may try new genres with the new PC
11. What is your preferred monitor resolution for gaming and normal usage
1920*1080
12. Are you looking to overclock?
No
13. Which operating system do you intend to use with this configuration?
Windows 7 64 bit.
A few queries :
1. As the user's not looking to OC, is it worth getting the 2500k? Or should we just settle for a 2500?
2. Asus motherboards are the ones available in stores. Cant be sure about other boards.
Thanks in advance!
