CPU/Mobo sandy Mobo dilemma

I want decent h67 mobo for i5 2400 @ 6k. I prefer (priority):
1. Asus
2. Gigabyte
3. Msi
If nothing then intel dh67bl
all i need is solid caps & all latest features.

Re: sandy Mobo dillema

You can get ASUS P8H67-M LX B3 at 6K (Only 2 ram slots, max 16gb support)

Intel DH67BL B3 at 5.2K

Both mentioned above dont have solid caps.

For getting a good H67 mobo with solid caps, spend atleast 7K :)

And for your question regarding priority :

1. Gigabyte

2. Asus

3. Msi

4. Intel

Re: sandy Mobo dillema

^^ Intel DH67-BL is the best option in your budget, Sire. Cheers!

Else can look at the MSi H67A-E35.

Re: sandy Mobo dillema

Guys i have selected
1. Asus P8H67 M LE B3
2. Gigabyte H67N USB3 B3
3. Gigabyte H67MA USB3 B3
4. Gigabyte H67MA UD2H B3
Queries :
1. which one to go for?
2.Budget is now 7k.
3.Should have solid caps.
4 .What i lose if opt for Intel h67bl?
5. Is 16 GB capacity is enough.?

Re: sandy Mobo dillema

Don't get the ASUS P8H67-M LX since it doesn't have USB3.

I bought an ASUS P8H67-M LE which has USB3 for 6k from Prime.

Also, 16gb is pretty much enough for anything. Infact if you don't use Photoshop or do any kind of video editing/rendering even 4gb is enough.

Re: sandy Mobo dillema

Buy DH67BL coz it comes with four RAM slots + eSata and the Asus P8H67M LE only comes with two Ram slots...

Re: sandy Mobo dillema

A microATX motherboard just looks wrong to me...thats why i got a ASUS P8H67-V

no complaints yet

Re: sandy Mobo dillema

very good mobo if you not in Over clocking

intel DH67BL is an H67 board so overclocking any k Series proccy is impossible...

too much gaming.

I dont know what you meant by this? did you mean that OP would get less FPS? :S

A microATX motherboard just looks wrong to me...

See it depends on the layout of the motherboard... if a microATX motherboard has good layout then there is really no need to go for a fullATX motherboard... For eg... If a microATX motherboard is very well designed and the Sata ports are placed in a way that they dont interfere with the GPU then there is really no need to go for a fullATX motherboard...

No Sire he means the board faces a lot of heat, I lost my first Intel motherboard (m478 socket) to over-heat after I played too much Half Life and Age of Mythology on it. Now I don't remember anything apart from the fact that I had a nVidia TNT 2 RAGE graphic card with 16MB of V-RAM, it powered my first foray into gaming [Delta Force: Black Hawk Down / Age of Mythology / Half-Life / Age of Empires I / II].

Any motherboard would heat up if you would play games or do some CPU intensive work... And i really dont think that Intel has used a cheap PCB to make this "Intel DH67BL" board that it can't handle normal day to day stuff and gaming...

Hades- I mean DON'T go with Intel if he wish to overclock it or heavy gamer.

No Sir, Till today from 2003 I never face OVER HEAT problem with Intel P4 nor with i5 :)

See the board that i have suggested is an H67 board so overclocking is out of question... And what do you mean by "heavy gamer"? I dont think that even if OP is a heavy gamer he would face any problem...

Re: sandy Mobo dillema

Heat ? Heavy gamer? O My god... Another tention??!!!!
1. Am not in OCing
2. Game @ 1080p
3. Overall budget 40k INR. CPU + LED 22 incher, no ups, kb mouse .

let me clear & do not get tensed!

I mean to say if you are Plan to play lots of game & over clocking than avoid Intel boards.

Now I don't play games so wait for some other replies with H67BL-B3 mobo & how they act with Mafia2, NFS HP, Crysis, BF etc.

Yes I agree with you & I really not aware how the board will perform with games as I don't play games :(

Re: sandy Mobo dillema

Buddy don't worry, just get the Intel board. It's a very good board and at that price very VFM. You won't have any problems with any games or anything.

The gigabyte board you mentioned doesn't have USB3.

Re: sandy Mobo dillema

i can vouch for intel boards...one of my P4 board is still running strong after 5 yrs and another just died after 4 yrs
