For 12.5k that's one awesome DAC which has a plethora of inputs including the USB and has a tube pre-amp output as well. IINM, the opamps can be swapped to the LM4562 which apparently lends it a better soundstage. And the rolling tubes as well.

Faheem, this should be in your next list of upgardes IMO with a pair of bookshelves. :)

Retails for 200USD and the seller has set a good rate. I might buy one if I can take a plunge on a good pair of cans. :P

It would be good if the buyers of Maverick DAC post their comments even a short one. I am also interested in it.
 
^ I went and collected 3 pieces from him personally (off ebay ) for my sister and a few friends. ;).Infact I think because of that , he doesn't have enough stock to ship the guys on ebay :ashamed: .

He will be getting a new stock of larger quantity .He had no idea that 10 pcs would get sold so quick !
 
^^ So when is he getting new stock....if he's getting in a few days he can list it now itself so that ppl can reap the benefits. Also since u have gt it already , is it a parallel import done by him or he got from some Indian distri only ( I mean is there any import sticker or anything on the box?)

I spoke to him this morning, he is out of India and would be back on Saturday. He will ship my Sansa on Sunday.

Nice chap with lots of knowledge on audio. Not a typical shopkeeper or commercially minded person.

Since his current stock itself might be insufficient to fulfill the pending ebay orders ,He is getting a new stock ASAP. ~7-10 days it should be here.

There's no distri stickers .Since these are not officially available in India , He got them directly from Sansa USA.

He is in talks with Sansa India to get support for all these Clip+ officially imported by him .If it works out , we guys will be able to claim warranty for these as well via the seller. ;)
 
Thats good news. Will he be able to ship mine... i ordered friday morning @ 4am?

Thinking of getting one for my mother. Is the Clip+ a major improvement over the Clip? If that is the case I'll wait for someone to list them on ebay.
 
@Chiron: microSD slot (which is quite major imo) as DarkAngel pointed out, better build quality, better design, same/similar firmware (so you have stability) with minor visual upgrades and the clip at the back is not removable in the clip+ (ie. in the Sansa Clip, the clip attachment was detachable but in the Sansa Clip+ it isn't)

The card slot also supports something Sandisk calls "SlotRadio" which is basically a chip you buy which has a lot of songs (some genre.. say billboard toppers) which will play in a pre-determined order kinda like a Radio. I don't see that being used here but it's always an option :)
