Graphic Cards Sapphire HD5850 not displaying anything

Hi Guys,

My friend has a Sapphire HD5850 card which is not displaying anything on the screen.

We have tested it on my mobo and still there is no luck on that. The fan revvs fast after system has completely started up.

I think the card has gone kaput. Can this be repaired. Does anyone in Lamington do that?

Any help in this concern would be appreciated.

Contact the distributor Aditya Infotech but most probably they won't repair it and TBH don't go into repairing a gpu. Better get a new one.

I had contacted them. They are not ready to repair and neither they know anyone who does it.

then you have good reasons to buy a new gpu

Check the card capacitors, most GPU's fail due to exploding capacitors. If the capacitors are faulty, it can be repaired! Get capacitors of the same rating. Watch the following vids:
