You too lost the point mate. I never said that we shouldn't do anything about it. I said that we don't do anything about it unless something like this damned show happens and then too, we make it the talk of the town and leave it at that! Now, I dunno if my English was so bad or so complex as to make it difficult to understand!

Satyamev Jayate to be shown in villages through CD. People can call now on 102 in Gurgaon to register complain about sex determination.

Rs 21,000 will be given in Haryana on providing information about doctors doing sex determination; no ultrasound without ID card.

But Aamir Khan & Kiran Rao went for Male Child. The child was born through IVF to a surrogate mother. More

If Aamir is so caring/cautious about social injustice with female fetus (abortion) why he opt for Male Child, was need to go with Female Child like Abhishek & Aishwarya.

He is Commercial Man & what he did is his one of the part of business & clever enough to raise Social Issues.

My 2 cents.

I haven't watch the show yet, but this is how TV works. Yeah they are going to go out of the way to show us the most painful cases (maybe even spice it up by faking some drama here and there), but as long as its for a greater cause ultimately, who gives a ****? The show is definitely admirable in what its trying to achieve.

Are you implying that they "chose" a male child? I can't seem to find anything related to their conscious sex selection

people go to ivf clinics when they are having difficulties in conceiving.. afaik.. it's not like they can choose, unless it's a test tube baby..

so, we can't really accuse amir or kiran for going to an ivf..
 
I don't know in which era you guys living. You can actually chose sex of the baby in IVF

In process of insemination, if you keep semen in pink test tube, then you get a girl. And white test tube for a boy ;)

I feel the only reason the show is in limelight because it is being hosted by Aamir Khan. Also these things come in paper a lot but no one reads and ignores but since it is Aamir people going ga ga. I have watched the first episode and as i type this, i am watching the second episode and they are trying to garner maximum TRPs by bringing emotional cases.
Just my opinion, don't take personally and 'enjoy the entertainment' (not my words, Aamir's).
