i beg to defer here,

you dont play with uefi interface for 3 yrs.

for 3-4 yrs usage scenario, its quality of components ,which matters.

even if you overclock, you dont sit in bios forever, its quality of components which matter and gives return of what money you put in.

once overclock is done, tested well, you dont have to go inside bios again till you have some issue.

ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z @12.3K

or

ASUS P8Z68-V/v PRO @ 12.5/13.8K

or

Gigabyte Z68X-UD4-B3 @13.2K

are some good options.

So are you suggesting that above mentioned mobos doesn't have the quality,I don't think so,the maximus gene and z68-v mobos are built for ocing and i do agree with poor A.S.S of asus which is handled by rashi, but you can't blame quality which is great with asus.

My personal favorite MSI Z68A GD 65 G3 ..for 12k .
i have one. The Efi is much better than Click bois I . the click bois II has lots of improvements .
The Asus boards are also a good choice ,,but if UEFI is the only advantage then go for MSI.
You would hardly spend 5 mins in a bois. The GD65 is a nice over clocker also. (In the league of Gene -Z and v-Pro).

Thanks guys....Budget is 10-12k for the MOBO. The system used for gaming, movies and multitask like watch movie and game together(i have eyefinity).

Currently i am using ASUS P5B VM which was running 5years flawlessly. Me too leaning towards ASUS but heard about the bad A.S.S. So little worrying.

If ASUS what are the diff between these three - ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z-12.2k or ASUS P8Z68-V-12.5k/ASUS P8Z68-V PRO-13.8k

If Gigabyte and MSI Which model is equivalent to above price/features range

Is the GEN 3 is really worth for 2k more?

Thanks for the good point, so that i can make my mind for MSI and Gigabyte. Any other good points for GB and MSI?

well the Gene -Z is a micro ATX Boards , designed for the Lan party gamers. But it still provides enough space for Dual graphics cards A good choice really
where as V and V pro are ATX boards .. V pro has 2 extra marvell Sata II ports whereas the V does not.
Any other good points for GB and MSI
the Msi GD 65 G3 gives you Gen3 and all V-Pro features at just 12 k ...best value for money board

See,
I honestly tell you.I bought two same motherboard for me and my best friend.
both of them failed in same timeframe and both of us suffered hell lot of trouble with it s rma.

So we both decided not to touch asus and try to save others from agony which we had.

Decided to buy the MSI Z68A GD65. Went to S P Road today not available. Jainex told that he will arrange it for monday. It is 11k+

In this model i liked the switch for onboard GPU and PCI GPU and Dual CMOS. I am not sure of these features in ASUS or Gigabye

For ASUS, asked Golcha, he is having the v/vpro Gen3 only and told that the v/vpro stopped production, the Gen3 is costly its 15K+ so not buying the ASUS

Any Gigabyte models equivalent to above

Go for Asus.. Almost a week back, I ordered MSI Z68A-GD55 from MD Computers, they forwarded my order to MSI. They didn't shipped it for almost 4 days. I got a call from MSI on 5th day regarding some damage to all there Z68 boards (in Transport something) and offered me alternative boards (Z68G45 and some other Micro ATX boards, which were sh*t) After struggling with them for 8 days. I got my money back. And I went for Asus P8P67 Rev 3.1... I must say, it is AWESOME.. Build quality is excellent. UEFI is mind freaking!! :O :O Superb..

Go for Asus.. You won't regret.

Almost i made up my mind for MSI Z68A GD65, but there is no stock. checked with MSI too. :( :@

So i have to take the ASS risk for ASUS. The ASUS P8Z68 V/Gen3 is what available, the older non gen3 version is not available and Golcha says it stopped prod. Is it true. There is a 1k diff.

And the V Pro/gen3 and V/gen3 is ~1k diff. Is it worth buying the vpro/gen3 for the extra ~1k

Got the

ASUS P8Z68 V/Gen3 - 14.5k

Hope will work properly

MSI Z68A GD65 is no stock anywhere in india :-(

Thanks guys for all your suggestions

MSI Z68A GD65 G3 is available online though.

Hardwire.in had it in stock for 11.9k (site is offline till 26 Jan)

Bitfang still has it in stock 11.6K

Go for Gigabyte or Msi Z68A-GD65-G3 (G3 refers Generation 3 for PCIE) @ 10k

where did you get this quote for 10K?
