Well, with the upcoming RD580 mobo, everyone is talking abt the crappy SB450 southbriodge chip and how many manufacturers have replaced that with a ULi southbridge chip.

I want to know, what is a Southbridge and what were the issues with the SB 450.

Why is this south-north stuff important?? :P

What are you still doing on TE ?
Arent you ashamed of yourself to be still here ?
You dont deserve to be here, get lost

@Nikhil... very easy to find what the SB controls... Open your box, find a chip called VIA VT8243. Look at the traces on the PCB that run from it to other areas. Whatever is connected to the chip is controlled by it :P.
