Other Screen darkening ( happens only in some places ! )

Samsung GS3. Screen started darkening here in Mumbai. Owner spent 3 monhs in Sydney, AU and then 3 months in Dubai. The screen worked prefectly there. Owner returned to Mumbai, within a few days screen has darkened again.
Any solution ?

Screen replacement cost is 7 K. Not worth it.
 
Are you the owner or owner is somebody else?
What happens when brightness value is set to full? Also disable auto-adjust brightness setting.
