I have a 3 Year old Motherboard , thoroughly used of Asus P5N-E-SLi Brand and make, and with Nvidia 6200 Turbo Cache (What an antique :ashamed: ) From past 3 days , my Screen is flickering randomly and then I get a Blue Screen , and it says the error is caused by nvlddmkm.sys , I googled up it turns out its some Nvidia Driver issue.

Also I noticed once, when I touched the 'Metal Sink' on the Nvidia Card, it was ridiculously hot , I couldn't have touched it for more than 2 secs without my finger frying up.

I came to a conclusion, that its a Graphic Card issue, So I am getting another graphic card.. But maybe the issue is with the MotherBoard ?

All your valuable inputs are welcomed :)

p.s.. I've done all the Re-Installation of Windows and Re-Installation of Drivers etc and am on Windows 7 64-Bit

it seems that your graphic card thermal has dried and became hardened.

before getting a new card first open the heatsink/fan off your card and look for the dried paste. Clean it nicely with liquid IP or even soft cloth will do.

Apply new paste like arctic silver and then see the results.

For checking your mobo, if you have onboard video you can test the stability with it. (without the card)

do this much n let me know.

Thanks @Rohit , I'll try to open up the card, and Clean it up. I don't have the Silver Arctic thermal paste with me but I do have the cheap one, I'll try to put up that , for the time being, and also Asus P5N-E-SLi , doesn't have a Onboard Graphic Card. I'll let u know asap.

no dont play with any cheap pastes. it will only ruin your stuff further.

You can get Artic silver Matrix Thermal Compound 2.5 gram for as less as 205 bucks & it will also benefit you in the long run for processors & also for gpus.

& my name is ronit not rohit so correct that too.;)

So, I opened up the Heat Sink and as you said, 'The Thermal Paste getting dried and hardened' well it did actually happened, so I cleaned it up but didn't put any thermal paste on it, and put it back, but still the thing is not fixed , I am getting the same flickering thing but in a DIFFERENT PATTERN lol , the cleaning did atleast had some effect on it, and @Ronit, Thanks, So what do you think, what are the chances that its my Graphic Card that is gone kaput and not Motherboard ?

You have to apply a thermal paste to the card. If you operate the card without the paste applied it will further damage it.

Get an Arctic Cooling MX-2 thermal paste. It is the cheapest and the most reliable.

Any Guarantee that it will work after that ? Cause I am almost have decided to get another Graphic Card.

see theres no guarantee for anything but you can only try and hope mfor the better.

as i said even if it doesnt work, the arctic silver isnt going waste anytime.

Most probably Graphics card is gone or the system is not getting sufficient power. Which PSU?

VIP 400W , It came with the VIP Cabinet (Dude my System is archaic and silly :ashamed: )

I don't really think that the PSU is not that capable.

Dude already did , look the first post in this thread. Doesn't work even after that :(
try your friend's gfx card on your system and check. You will come to know where exactly problem lies.

I think its a 95% gfx card problem. Get a new one.

Thanks all for the valuable feedbacks, you all got it right, The issue was with the gfx card, changed it, now its working purrrfectly :)
