Screen Recorder

Hi friends, can you suggest me any screen recording software which helps me to record screen activity along with cursor movements. I want something which are used in software guides video tutorials.

If commercial softwares (to be bought) are okay with u, check out Total Recorder( having great options to automate things and for pro use, not very user friendly) and Camtasia studio (very user friendly, but has limitations, but okay for casual use).

I had done quite a bit of research on alternatives for this purpose and u can go ahead with these softwares, no need to keep searching more.

Dont forget to post ur feedback.

Camstudio for semi-formal kind of work. For small and informal tutorials try Wink (freeware, portable). Actually for 75% of my kind of tutorial preparation, I use Wink.

I'll put in a vote for Qarbon's Viewlet Builder. I've used it extensively for software demonstrations / training videos. It has some very useful features and is quite easy to use as well. Mouse pointers / trails, interactivity, text boxes / areas, etc.

Qarbon's Viewlet Builder is not free right? I have a licensed copy of this on my office laptop and it's pretty good :)

It's not free. There is a trial version but it adds a watermark. (Not sure how intrusive the watermark is).

There are times I have to make training videos at work (Do not enjoy that :/)

and this seemed like the best solution. I remember trying Camtasia but found this easier to work with.
