SCV STB connection

When I was in Chennai, I got my STB near the Murasoli building next to the Kodambakkam bridge. SCV HQ is over there. You can check there.

thanks. So i will get stb +connection from them only or there is any other way to get the connection
 
You could contact the local cable TV operator. If he is affiliated to SCV he will take care of getting the box and installation....anyways for STB u need a cable connection.

At the moment cable TV is the cheapest option available, each channels just for Rs.5...thought the quality might be a bit on the lower side...i dont complain.

hmm.. I need to look for a local cable TV operator.

yeah i have done some calculations for pay channel @5.35 rate and its come around Rs.70 for the my selected list(excluding the FTA channels)

don't SCV has their homepage; where we can see tarrif and list of channels ?
 
They will give you the STB & the card only. Connection and the payments are to be done to your local cable operator if he is affiliated with SCV [Most of the Chennai is]. Hathway services very few pockets in South Chennai.

But take my suggestion, SCV service is very pathetic, once my STB conked off, replacing it became a nightmare and I dumped it in the end and switched to TATA Sky. But one good thing is payments can be done at your leisure. SCV doesn't have any strict cutting off policy and is dependent on the local cable operators information who pay them back.

I just need a tv connection for casual tv viewing. tata sky is good but bit costly for my requirement right now.
 
Then go for local cable operators. They are much cheaper than SCV. In Perungudi it should be even more cheaper.

there is one which i am using right now .Rs.100/month. but list of channels is very very low (ddnews,timenews,samay,9x,ten sport,sony pix,sahara one,pogo,disney-rest are tamil channels)
