SE w700i questions

So i got this new phone. i would like to ask a few things.

1) if i connect using Bluetooth 2 (its faster right?) dongle, would my mem card still be locked?

2) any good sites/forums for softwares?

> video converters, avi/wmv players

i cant find sites talking about w700i.

since the build is quite similar, so all softs of w800 should work on w700 ??

Afaik USB2 will be faster than Bluetooth.

I use iTunes to re-encode my mp3's to 64kbps m4a/aac tracks, not much difference in quality , and the size is reduced upto 60%.

About videos, I use Nero Recode to encode the videos to mp4, use this guide ... Converting vids for K700 using NERO recode

thanks xfactor, made some excellent quality clips with that info.

I was asking about Bluetooth2 be-cos im trying out some themes and stuff, and i have to disconnect the phone form PC everytime i want to access the file on the mem card, and that a real timewaster and besides the connectors will go loose if i keep doing that. and im hoping if i connect using B2 i could access the card from the pc and phone simultaneously.

By anychance is your connection getting reset when you try to backup files from phone memory using the backup option in My Phone Exp ? files from the internal memory were copying @10kbps and it took me 3 retries to copy about 5mb from "phone" memory. after copying for a min or two, its not like phone restarts, but the phone sort of blacks out and i get an error message.

You can give BT a try, or you can copy all the themes to the themes folder at once , then try them out and delete the unwanted themes :)

It works great for me on my k750i ... though I havn't got much data on the phone memory :) ... maybe a bug with this version of mpe.
