It addresses the resolution issue of budget androids and comes with 3" 480*320 resolution.
But still runs on age old Donut

X10 will get 2.1 version in October. Not sure about when the X8 will get the upgrade though Only -ve of the phone for the price its on offer is the OS version. Lazy SE s/w team :|

You can't flash this phone with a newer version ROM as all Sony Ericsson Android phones (like Motorola) come with encrypted bootloaders. Until they hack the bootloader, you can't flash ANY ROM to the phone .....

Not sure about the official upgrade though ....

That would be a big mistake. Why would you want to dump a phone that has bigger display, more internal memory, faster processor, better OS, DivX integration, better battery for X8? You better wait a bit.

Yup. Flipkart too has just dropped X10 mini pricing to 12.9k. Even yesterday it was retailing at 14.8k on their site.

Thanks for the headsup! 3" is like Samsung Monte and its got a better resolution(hvga) than other budget android fones

The Samsung Monte has 262K Screen .. not good IMO

The Samsung i7500 is still a much better contender in the budget Android Category.

Retails at around the 12K range ..

Stock 528 Mhz processor can be overclocked to 710 Mhz.

3.2 " AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors, 320 x 480 pixels

8 Gig Internal Memory + microSD card. + DivX Xvid out of the box.

5MP Autofocus with Flash.

And to top it all it can run 2.2 Froyo.
