don't get trapped.
tell him to revise his listing with model number and 7200.12 series.
buy only then.

I agree... Unless the seller confirms this on the listing itself & through PM, he can send any model of 1TB Seagate he likes & you cannot raise a dispute with eBay...

There is another seller who is selling 7200.12 HDD with model no. clearly mentioned but when I asked him to confirm he told me its actually 7200.11 1TB... :(

With eBay always keep your safe side within their rules...

i usually clean up my pc generally gets damaged in that process,,i didnt have the problem yet but my friends have!!and that would be arnd 8 seagates uptill now,,most of them burnt power connector and others due to some unknown reasons stopped working:huh:!!!

Your last bet would be to get it from TheITWares, he specifically states they are 7200.12 528AS drives.

That is where I got it from... + FREE Transcend 160GB... :hap2:

Actually I asked him to put it up there so that I can make use of the Monsoon offer... :ashamed:

Yes they were available till 2 days back now again the suppliers only have 7200.11 i have a order pending on ebay and there's no 7200.12 now lets see when it comes back or else i'll have to refund the amount.

I recieved the HDD which i had ordrered from Ebay, he had confirmed it was a 7200.12 so i had placed the order. And it is a 7200.12, model no is ST31000528AS. Got it for 4875 Shipped
