Amazon ships this item directly to India and I had checked with Seagate US support and they confirmed the warranty can be claimed from India if at all there is any problem.

Looks like this can be opened with no visible damage and used as an internal drive and reassembled in case you need get it replaced.

I'll do ya one better. I just made a video for ya. I've now opened 17 of these little buggers. It takes less than five minutes, and only requires a flathead and a phillips screwdriver. The case can be reassembled with no visible damage to the exterior, but the interior clips ARE damaged by the disassembly. Here's the best way I've found to do it:

No process click buy on amazon.. Input address, customs duty and shipping will be calculated and amazon will take the deposit, I received it in 5 days even though I am currently in a small town called manipal.

Metro people should get it in 3-4 days max.

@prateekS: should one select amazon.com or any other seller on amazon, in this case - like PCNation - was ~20$ < amazon price. Does it make a difference in service levels?

I don't think non-amazon sellers even ship internationally, and even if they do their shipping prices will be really high.

This deal was when Amazon's price was $129.99
