Storage Solutions Seagate FreeAgent not powering up

So my External 2TB HDD is not powering up. I have checked my adapter and all the USB ports and they all are working fine. Tried connecting this drive on my laptop as well but still no luck. Drive was bought in 2010 and according to Seagate website it's still in warranty. I wanna know if Seagate people will accept this drive as now they only provide 3 years warranty. Secondly, will they repair my drive or replace it because I have got loads of Movies,TV Series,Songs and some important stuff on this drive. Please tell me what are my options here.

As the site shows under warranty, then you have warranty. No questions about that.
Try to open drive without damaging the casing. See if it works in Pc. Extract data if it works andthen,send for rma
