It says 5 years on internal hard drives. Where am i supposed to look at?

Well what about the FreeAgentGo drives which show 5 years warranty on their site? :S

Are these applicable only for their products purchased in this year?

valid for import of 1.1.2010 or later ,

Yesterday checked at Prime ABGB .. they say only 3 years warranty on Seagate internal drives ...
 
Can somebody find out more details from Seagate India

Not exactly. They may be 'coz of trying to maintain profitability since their 7200.11 fiasco... but definitely it means lower sales.. If WD is giving 5 years warranty then why would anybody want to get Seagate.... My local dealer has scrapped Seagate completely & only selling WD now..

RMA is also easy with WD....:)
