dude, always get seagate, i have 1 2tb goflex desk external and 4 internal 1tb 7200.11 hdd...

no problem till now and used mostly for 24x7 download rig...

^^ Hitachi is a better option, but remember if you source from Newegg you'll loose the warranty for the hard drive.

Seagate is available in India, and thus, has a good after sales support system in place. I've no clue about Hitachi on this one. But drive-to-drive Hitachi Deskstar series drives perform over the Seagate Barracuda drives.

and please check that AFAIK that newegg wont ship to INDIA, its for USA... correct if im wrong...
