I connected my 3 year old SATA HDD yesterday to my new rig....but unfortunately it was asking me to format it before i could use it.....please help me out here guys...because there are some very important documents in that HDD of mine.......the HDD is getting detected and in the Disk Manager it shows as HEALTHY.....but when i try to access it....i am being asked to format...it....

I had first converted the HDD to Basic Drive after connecting it and then went on to convert it back to Dynamic Disk......did this cause the Error.....

Here you go man, your conversion screwed data, now use third party data recovery software like Acronis Data recovery/Get Data back for NTFS/FAT
Consult professional if data is very important,it gonna cost you bomb.

Try rebuilding partition table/Search for lost partitions in PTD some times it works.
