@Mods: My previous threads were closed, I don't have a problem with it, it would be nice if you guys could specify what I was doing wrong. Just closing it down is sometimes frustrating. :)

They say they need the proof of date of purchase (Receipt I guess).
Smartlink people asked for the receipt at lamington road when I went to RMA my strontium external hard disk. Can you please let me know where you got the confirmation of Warranty by serial number? I am interested, but only thing thing is holding me back.

I actually won it in a contest held by Strontium and they (got a phone call) said that the warranty is by serial number and there are 42 service centers around India.

There is of course a letter enclosed which certifies me as the winner of the aforementioned contest. :)

So that can/will act as an invoice/receipt. If any confirmation or extra information on my part is required I will make the necessary calls and let you know.
