Downside - 5 hour SP campaign. But never mind that. The first title was pretty decent. Honestly, this wasn't anything like Lost Planet 1 but yet turned out to be a decent shooter. Let's see how the sequel shapes up!

The first one was exactly just that, Decent. The idea of vertical game play was good but the implementation really sucked. Hope the guys deliver better.

As for the 5hr campaign. im paraphrasing what Bach said "Its better to have a "great" short campaign than a mediocre long campaign".

@Gannu, never got the chance to congratulate u on ur promotion. Mazel tov brother. U deserve it.

Forgot to update! Completed the title last Sunday. It was a short game (as usual with any other titles releasing lately!) and completed the 8 missions pretty quickly. Clocked 4 hours approx. It is a good game sadly marred by the bad UE 3 graphics. That said it'd easily be maxed out in any decent system. There are not many differences from the first title - Section 8. Gameplay is mostly squad based with a partner or 2 accompanying the player most of the times. Good arsenal - 2 primary weapons can be chosen from MGs, sniper rifles, rocket launchers, shotguns, assault rifles etc. The guns can be deployed with varying ammo (incendiary, slugs etc) and this can be chosen at the weapon loadout points found almost everywhere. They are deployed from the top just like any other equipment in the game.

Gameplay is linear and the player has to complete several objectives mostly revolving around blowing up some equipment, defending a place like an LZ, turning valves, hacking nodes etc. There are several classes of NPCs in the opposition team and they have varying levels of health and armor. Some may take more than just a dozen rockets to take them down whereas the infantry (the lowest of the class) takes one shot in the head to go down. The player can control a mech suit and tank in some of the levels - pretty good sequences there.

All in all a short and sweet game which makes for a good TP. :)

@memnom: Thanks. :P

Started and finished this game today. :P

IMO not really worth playing. Although I'm not a person who wants the best graphics in every game, this game still lacks behind.

The gameplay is strictly ok. The story is boring. It's basically a fast paced mindless shooter really. There was nothing to look back at in the game.

One thing that I liked was the 'overdrive'. What it does is if you're sprinting for a little while, your armor suit boosts your speed and you can keep sprinting to quite a lot of distance. Really helps save time. :P I get irritated with stupidly slow sprints in some games. :|
