The fiesta diesel is 1.6L.

@OP: If you can get the limited edition fiesta diesel for 6.xx, then there is nothing like it.

+Amazing handling. Awesome suspension over the bumps. Great mileage.
-Slightly underpowered (although there is a nice kick with the turbo at 2k). Expensive service from Ford.

Fiesta diesel is 1.4L 68bhp - the same as engine as the ikon. Also the diesel fiesta won't fit in his budget. If it has to be diesel, you'd do good to get the new tata car.
 
I've driven the SX4.It's good.but not in our budget and moreover it's petrol.

@Chaos and Grease Monk,

Seems like Dezire, Ikon and LE Fiesta are the only ones left in my budget.I dont think I would find the Limited Edition Fiesta now, after Diwali.Also,as you guys mentioned Ford Spares are expensive.It would be a problem since my parents live in a Tier II city where Maruti, Hyundai and Tata rule.

Dude.. absolutely.. thats exactly what i suggested in another forum for buying a new car...
Ive been tracking Manza for long and its creating a lot of buzz in the market .. especially the competition ... hehe ;)

I saw NDTV's review of the Manza..and it fits ur budget just right too !! here's the review (Review: Indigo Manza and Chevrolet Cruze) .. need i say more ?? Check out the official website if u want more info..

^^ The new Manza is apparently much improved from the older indigo. Test drive both Logan and Manza.
