CPU/Mobo See the reasons for the Prescott's heat and slowness issues..

Well i came across this article today...and i thought it would be helful to others who are using the Pentium 4 prescott processor in dtermining why the Processor seems so slow and gets heated so soon..

My P4 2.8 (Prescott) worked for 1.5 yrs with a generic 350W PSU (Mercury)!
No wonder my mobo has gone for a walk..its with Intel for replacement.

my 2.4's normal temp is 55C.....goes upto 70C while running programs like spybot... ::no: :ashamed:

well, my 2.4c was only 38 and load (NFS) till 51.

yours is a northwood. that is why. We are talking abt Prescotts here.

ya i red just wanna compare between my proc and prescot...

good article...

will try on my system. as i have added 6600GT and 250GB and planning to add 300 more so better to have nice cooling support from system as well.
