I'm in the market for a motorized standing desk and could really use some advice on my options. I've been eyeing the IKEA Uppspel or Idasen, but I really have no exposure to this. I want to know what kind of issues I may face over time, and how durable the actuators on their motors are, especially the desks that are available on amazon.
Here's what I'm looking for in a standing desk:
1. If the desk comes with a tabletop, it should at least be 5 by 2.5 feet. I would prefer that it be wider, 6 or 7 feet.
2. Compatibility: I'll be keeping an ITX case that would be 11-18 liters in volume, either a dual monitor setup with one 34" and one 27" monitor or the 57" Samsung mini-led, and Yamaha HS5s.
I've seen various motorized standing desk on Amazon, but I don't really know how good or bad they are.
I'd like for someone to tell me how their experience has been and when do these desks start acting funny. Thanks.
