BIKeINSTEIN
Guide
I am using MTNL Triband.
My Dlink DSL-502T still works fine, i think, after 3 years of use- touchwood.
But i was thinking of replacing it with something newer and better if available.
Please suggest me a suitable upgrade.
Also i plan to run a couple of machines simultaneously and have a 4-port switch but do not want the hassle of multiple devices.
So, are there any that combine the goodness of a good modem for Triband along with a 4-port switch?
(i have seen the ones that MTNL provide and i found them pretty yucky- my 502T is way better imho in setup and connectivity)
Wireless is not a necessity.
Though a lappy can be used on it but i don't mind using a long cable for that.
Quality of the product and performance of primary importance- cost factor and VFMness will be thought upon later.
To summarise-
(1) primarily, has to be a good router for Triband(ADSL/ADSL2 whatever. )
(2) Better if it has a an in-built 4 port switch ( so that i don't need a separate switch requiring one more power point and attending to)
(3) No wireless needed but if it has, wakaw!! (maybe i am asking for too much. )
